From August 6-10 in Pretoria, South Africa, the African Bar Association conference will bring together thousands of lawyers on the African continent. Please donate below to support the NLG’s participation in this important conference!
Kerry McLean, international human rights lawyer and NLG International Committee co-chair, has been invited to attend the conference, speak and convene a panel presentation on increasing access to justice for under-resourced communities, with a focus on African contexts.
The recipient of the 2021 Debra Evenson International Award, she most recently coordinated the U.S. visit of UN EMLER, the Expert Mechanism to Advance Racial Justice and Equality in Law Enforcement. Read more about Kerry and her work here.
Lennox Hinds, IADL Permanent Representative to the UN and 2022 recipient of the NLG Law for the People Award, has also been invited to attend and speak at the African Bar Association conference.
The African Bar Association has waived attendance fees in order to facilitate Kerry’s participation. However, there are significant travel costs involved in attending! Can you make a donation today to help ensure these important voices have the opportunity to participate in Pretoria, and to build relationships with African lawyers working for justice on the continent?
Thank you for your support!
