Video: “Free Alex Saab – Imprisonment, Sanctions and a Gag Order” with Suzanne Adely and Audrey Bomse

On Thursday, February 16, the NLG International Committee hosted a webinar on the case of imprisoned Venezuelan diplomat, Alex Saab. He is currently imprisoned in a U.S. federal detention center on charges that are directly related to defiance of the U.S. attempt to impose regime change on Venezuela through the use of illegitimate unilateral coercive measures.

Recently, a delegation of two NLG and International Association of Democratic Lawyers members visited Alex Saab in the Federal Detention Center in Miami, and produced a statement on the cae.

Suzanne Adely, National Lawyers Guild President and Bureau Member of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers, and Audrey Bomse, long-time National Lawyers Guild International Committee member and Mass Incarceration Committee co-chair, spoke about the delegation, Alex Saab’s case, and actions that people can take to organize to free this political prisoner and challenge U.S. imperialism.
