At the 2001 World Conference Against Racism in Durban, South Africa a historic document was adopted by consensus. The Durban Declaration & Programme of Action (DDPA) is a comprehensive document that proposes concrete measures to combat racial discrimination. It addresses a wide range of issues, and contains recommendations that have the potential to have far-reaching impact. This program will explain key provisions of the DDPA, and share information about the drafting of the DDPA and current efforts by powerful nations to suppress the document.
